On the day of your procedure:

Please arrive at the surgery center 30 minutes prior to your scheduled procedure time. Follow all preparation instructions given to you by your doctor. If you are presently taking medications, please consult with your doctor for dosage instructions prior to your procedure. Our team of healthcare professionals will consult with you and prepare you for your procedure upon arrival. You will have the opportunity to consult with your anesthesiologist and gastroenterologist to have them answer any questions you may have. A member of the nursing staff will be with you throughout your entire procedure. When your procedure is completed you will be taken to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). Your recovery stay is usually 30 to 45 minutes. During your stay the nursing staff will continue to monitor your recovery. Before you leave the surgery center, you will be given discharge and care instructions for your home recovery. For your safety, you must arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home and stay with you for the 24 hours. We ask that your ride wait for you in the reception area during your procedure. If you have any laboratory testing or radiology scans that you wish to review with the doctor please bring a copy of the results and/or scans to your appointment.
